Ms. Bookes looked over to Mace and Midnight, then smiled. "Just today. Why? Is Embry jealous?"
Midnight smiled. "Thank you, Mace. I tend to absorb things I find interesting."

Embry blushed lightly and looked at Ms. Bookes, eyes narrowed slightly. "No, just suspicious. Something just doesn't feel right at all."

Mace chuckled softly. "Is that what you did with Embry over there?" he asked, gesturing towards him.

Ms. Bookes smiled and patted his shoulder. "You're just a concerned boyfriend. There's nothing To be suspicious of."
Midnight looked over at him and her expression softened. "I guess you could say that..."

"I-It's not like that," Embry started, then sighed. "I'm not only suspicious because I'm her boyfriend, what do you even know about this kid?"

Mace watched Midnight and smiled. "He must be special to you."

Ms. Bookes shrugged. "What do I know about you two?"
Midnight nodded, smiling. "He definitely is."

"Lets hope he stays trustworthy to you," Mace said softly, a smirk spread across his lips, his gaze studying Midnight very closely again.

Embry sighed. "True, but still, you have to have some weird feeling about this kid," he told Ms. Bookes, frowning. "Why is he even in ISS?"

Ms. Bookes shrugged again. "I don't ask, but I will ask about you two. Why are my two favorite students here?"
Midnight frowned. "Why wouldn't he?"

"Stupid Ms.Smith was being a witch again and sent us to the principel's office because of our 'unruly' behavior," Embry sighed softly, running a hand through his hair.

Mace shrugged, playing with a pencil he had. "He just seems like the kind of guy who would take advantage of you."

Ms. Bookes smiled sympathetically. "Sorry to hear about that, Embry." She ruffled his hair. "Well, have fun. How long do you have ISS?"
Midnight glared at Mace. "He isn't. Why would you even say that?"

Embry shrugged. "I think for a couple of days, the principal never really made that clear to us," he sighed softly, looking at the ceiling.

Mace stood up and shrugged, grabbing the books he had gotten from the shelves. "Just a gut feeling I have, I'd be careful if I were you," he turned and slowly walked off, disappearing into one of the aisles.

"Well, there's nothing I can do about that," Ms. Bookes said, sighing.
Midnight watched him go her eyes narrowed. She walked over to Embry, already in doubt.

"At least we can spend more time with you," Embry laughed, lightly nudging her in the shoulder before turning to Midnight. "Hey, everything okay?"

Embry frowned, moving over some and patting the spot next to him. "Sit down, I won't bite," he chuckled softly at his own joke, a grin spreading across his face.

"Because I'm a bad boy," Embry said in a small little kid voice, grinning big time.

Embry chuckled softly, kissing her cheek. "That must be the reason why we get along so well," he grinned, glancing out of the corner of his eye at Mace, tensing a little before he disappeared again.

Embry smiled and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her gently and kissing her ear, keeping an eye out for Mace.

Embry yawned and rolled out of bed, lazily slipping on a pair of black jeans and a Slipknot concert t-shirt, putting on his black vans before going to the restroom and doing the rest of his business. He gathered his things for class and left his dorm, going to school. As he walked, he noticed people whispering fearfully to one another and watching him, making him a little curious about what was going on.

Embry kept walking through the hallway, making it to the library to run into Ms. Bookes. "I'm sorry," he helped picked up the books she dropped, noticing Mace watching him closely, along with some other students in the library, sensing the tension in the air. "Um, w-what happened...?"

Ms. Bookes picked the books up, giving him a stern look. "Ms. Smith was killed. And people are saying it's you," she told him bluntly.
Midnight ran into the library, red in the face. "Hey, what's... Up?" her last word trailed off as she felt the tension.
