Cassian pulled her close. "I promise not to let you go through that ever again."

She kept crying. "He touched me ways I should never be touched."

Cassian kissed her gently on the forehead. "I'm sorry..." he murmured softly to her, holding her close to him.

"The terror......"

"Shh.. you need some sleep" Cassian said, laying her down on the bed. "Don't worry, I'll be right here next to you."

"I can't sleep with the images........"

"Then how can I help make you feel better?"

"Nothing can do it..... it can't be taken away."

Cassian let out a sigh, sitting beside her.

'SING." she trembled.

"Sing?" Cassian asked her.

She nodded. "When I was a little girl, I was often scared of monsters. My mother would sing to me to calm me down......." tears slipped.

"Okay" Cassian said to her, wrapping her in a hug. He began to hum a tune, murmuring the lyrics into her ear softly as he sang.

She took in the tune.

Cassian kept singing, trying to calm her.

It brought memories of her mother, who had died when she was 7.

Cassian tried to sing, wondering if this was helping her.

She held him tightly and closely.

Cassian hummed the tune now, wondering if she was feeling better.

She started to hum along, as if she wwere being hypnotized.

Cassian smiled as he kept humming.

She closed her eyes.

Cassian held her close, humming the tune.
