Gabriel walked away picking up emilt in his hands. the rest of the pack turned with him. that was the sighn. He waited to hear her wial out as life rushed out of her

Caitlyn snapped her neck. And solomnly left Rafe and her minions to die. She howled once, stopping for a second, and padded to stand next to James her head hun low and tears started to fall slowly, she buried her head into his fur.


Shane's face fell, and he stood protectively near Jess.

Jess stood walked with her suporting her wait but said nothing

Shane let her lean on him, his tail held her closer and steady.


Caitlyn cried still, her wait balancing on James.

"Get on my back." he whispered lowering himself.

Jess sighed..

Caityn gingerly laid her weight on him, she trid not to set all of it on him.

Shane whispered somethign to Jess, "Are you okay?"

"get all te way on." Said james in a gruff voice

"Im fine!"She said.

CAitlyn rolled her eyes and let her weight slowly fall onto him, she iddn't want to hurt him...more.


Shane nodded"At least one of us is." he said and glanced at his sister, a small whimper built in his throat.

"she'll be fine." promised Jess

Shane nodded, "I know. Physically." he said, a darkness to his voice.

"What d you mean??" jess asked confused

"She's never killed anyone, she's seen it done. Even though in my mind Astrid didn't count as a human, in Caitlyn's mind, she just murdered someone." he said.

Caitlyn's head rested against JAmes'

"Oh, she should relax no ones mad at her even raft hated her."

"She know's that, if anythign everyone is going to congratulate her, but she doesn't want that, she feels really bad no for taking someone's life..." he explained. HE knew his sister all too well.

Caitlyn fell asleep easily.

"no one congratulates a death, we thank her, for saving us." said jess

Shane looked at her, You knew what I meant.' he said, and his head hung the rest of the walk back.

Caitlyn stare at James, when they reached their apartments, she leaned against her door, her body scratched and bruisd pretty much everywhere. She waited for him to says omethign, anything.

James came out of the kitchen with a wet cloth a box of bandainds and some other stuff.
"sit ." he pointed to the couch seat next to him

She sat, "James, are you angry with me?" she asked

Shane stopped the car by Jess apartment room. he wasn't staying aywhere tonight probaby sleeping in a tree again. "You okay?" he asked her.

Jess nodded. "do you have a place to stay?'

"A tree?" he said chuckling softly

"James?" caitlyn asked worried.

James looked up. "no." he begain to clean her wounds. he would half to peel her shirt off to get the ones on her side. Dabbing them with a wet cloth and the cleaning it with a soppy one.

"you can stay with me, I have a guest room." She began to walk up the stairs waveing her arm to call him up.

Shane smile,c "You sure?" he asked.

Caitlyn shrugged, with pain, her shirt off the rest of the way, she only had on her bloodied bra on now, along with tatterd jeans.

"Maybe you should just take a shower? then I can badage it." He sugested looking her over.

Jess nodded positive.

Shane smiled, "Thankz." he smiled, and kissed her on the cheek softly, he didn't know if she wanted more...

Caitlyn nodded, she went to the bathroom leaving the door cracked a little. She slipped her clothesoff and screamed painfully as the water hit her wounds, she fell to the fllor, letting the water fall onto her tears coming to her eyes, this hurt like all get out.
