At the House of Night, our mission is to serve Nyx, the Goddess of Night, by creating an environment where teenage fledgling vampyres can learn, grow, and Change into adult vampyres. Fledglings are initiated into the rich and complex culture of our matriarchal society and given special instruction in the fine arts as well as vampyre society. As spell work is part of every vampyre’s life, it is intricately woven into our curriculum, therefore each fledgling will become proficient in ancient spells and rituals. Our faculty, all gifted vampyres, encourage individuality and self-expression. Though it is regrettable, not all fledglings who are Marked and enter the House of Night complete the Change into adult vampyres. Should the unfortunate happen and your student, as the vampyre Shakespeare so famously put it, “shuffle off this mortal coil,” be assured that his or her remains will be returned to you in a timely matter. ok umm your a regular human being but then some guy follows you and says some weird chanting thing and all of a sudden a mark forms on your forehead, you are now a fledging, a human turning into a vampyre. you have to leave your home and go to the house of night school where you learn to be a vampyre, although you are not certain to make it through the change, you can die. erg has anyone else read the book? if so help add to the description

Vannessa woke up, got ready, ate breakfast and went to her 1st hr class. It was dark outside, but it always was for school, sense it hurts there eyes to go outside in the sun so they sleep durring the day

Cassian slipped out of bed and headed to his first class. He got in there before anyone else, sitting down looking for someone to talk to.

Jace walked to class, sitting down in the back row.

Vannessa walked into her class and sat in the back. she took her notebook out and started making plans for the next meeting

Cassian looked and saw Vannessa, walking up to her and sitting next to her. "Hey."

"hey Cassian, cant wait to the next meeting?" Vannessa asked (hes popular right)

"I can't wait" Cassian said to her, leaning back in his chair next to her.

"yeah too bad its not till 3 more weeks" Vannessa said thinking about the last meeting.

"Yeah, but we can wait till then can't we? We'll survive" Cassian said to her with a grin, his gaze resting on her.

"nope i dont think so, guess youll just have to be around me more" vannessa answered back smiling

"I guess I will" Cassian said, falling back in his chair but coming back up quickly, acting like nothing happened.

Cassian rubbed the back of his neck nervously, sitting back down again next to her. "Well... now what?"

"you are so cute when your clumsy" Vannessa said giving him a brilliant smile "i like it"
