| Well I read it in 7th ! But then again, I have the reading level of a senior, according to my LA teacher, so that would probably be why. I know a lot of people in 8th grade reading it, you just really have to be mature, because there is racy stuff in there. AND OMG JL READ IT! ITS SO AMAZING! But be prepared to cry. All her books are sad. And its gonna be a movie ! YAY ! |

| i mean like.... sorry loosing train of thought need sleep. sure it can be easy to read, it doesnt have a high reading level but its the content thats what is for the age group, sure there is alot of adult books to read that is easy but that doesnt mean an middle schooler would actually want to read them, you know what i mean??? | |

| No, its not hard at all. I'm just saying I've always read higher levels, and that includes content. Believe me, I know that the stuff in the book wouldn't be appropriate for anyone less than like 13-14 years old, but I'm not recamending they go out and read it. If they think they can, then they should. But its an ADULT book. So keep that in mind. |

| yeah, and that those who are younger might not get the meaning of the story, like the deeper part from reading all those other books you have to read at school like lotf great epectations, glass castle, oddyse huckleberry finn, treasure island, etc. | |

| no actually the ending was horrible (not sarcastic) but it was so distinctive and really made the book emotional, i really wanted to see it in theaters. and my favorite character was actually a main character, so i want to see how they fill up her space as well... |

| But do you want an 11 or 10 year old reading a very disturbing, haunting and racy story ? Didn't think so |

| So rose your saying a 10 year old should read about se.x ? I counsel at a camp with 10 year old and they are in no means ready, even tho at least 5 of them I know talk regularly at home about mature topics (my friends). Age is a guidline, and a pretty good one at that. They need to have enough knowledge about a lot of this medical and relationship stuff to get it. Really, idk if you'll get anything out of it at all unless your older, because of the wisdom it requires to interpret it's themes and issues. I know there's more to it than I get because of a whole subplot about true love. And mother daughter relationships. And being really sick. This comes with experience, which comes with age. |

| It really doesn't matter about your race, i have no idea why that was even brought up. But either way, your age does matter, because the older you are, the more you've seen, and the more you've seen, the more you know. |
