You trudge through unknown forests. You've already been driven out of other Clan's territory and you search desperatly for a Clan to join. Suddenly you find yourself surrounded by a patrol of strong, well-fed cats. A sleek tortoise-shell she-cat steps forward. "What are you doing here?" she hisses, "This is DawnClan territory." You hiss at her and bristle defiantly. She seems to look you over. "I am Dawnstar, leader of DawnClan. Will you dare to join?" Without waiting for a reply the patrol turns and heads away.

Will you follow her?? Or turn tail and run?? The choice is YOURS!!

When all the cats had gathered Dawnstar went on. "Pheasentkit, you have reached your sixth moon and it is time you were apprenticed. Fawnstep has told me she would like you to be her apprentice so Fawnstep will be your mentor."

Fawnstep nodded and stood.

Leafclaw sat by her side.

Dawnstar took a deep breath and went on. "Bluepaw, Starpaw, Flamepaw, Icepaw, Silverpaw, and Rosepaw, it is time you were made warriors."

Bluepaw grinned and kneaded the ground with her paws.

Icepaw grinned at Bluepaw.

He gently licked Silverpaw.

She purred.

"I, Dawnstar, leader of DawnClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these apprentices. They have trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn."

"Bluepaw, Flamepaw, Icepaw, Rosepaw, Starpaw, Silverpaw, and Rosepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life??"

"I do," Bluepaw, Flamepaw, and Silverpaw said together.
