Blaze finished whispering in Shimmer's ear, before turning to the teacher. She quickly scribbled a note to Jake.

Mr. Dawson started walking over to Blaze, his hand outstretched for the note. She didn't panic, but pretended like she didn't see him and ripped the note up: fast. He appeared at her side.
"Blaze, what was that you were writing?" He asked sternly.
"Hmm?" She asked, pretending to absentmindedly look up. "Oh, just something between me and Jake." She smiled lightly.
He narrowed his eyes and walked slowly back to the front of the class.
